Our Programs
Empowering Communities for Sustainable Development
1. Research and Education; SRP promotes inclusive and quality education while fostering a culture of research and innovation for sustainable development. The organization works to improve access to primary, secondary, and non-formal education, with a focus on marginalized and underserved communities. SRP conducts research and needs assessments to inform program design, develop evidence-based interventions, and influence policy. Through teacher training, community engagement, and educational resource development, SRP aims to enhance learning outcomes and empower future generations.
2. Agriculture and Livelihoods; SRP supports rural communities in strengthening their agricultural practices and improving food security through climate-smart farming techniques, sustainable crop production, and livestock management. The organization promotes the formation and capacity building of producer groups, facilitates market linkages, and enhances value chains for rural products. SRP also works to diversify livelihoods through vocational training, small enterprise development, and access to resources, enabling communities to increase incomes and build resilience against economic and environmental shocks.
3. Nutrition and Mother & Child Healthcare (MNCH); SRP works to improve the nutritional status and overall health of mothers, newborns, and children under five. The organization implements community-based nutrition programs, growth monitoring, and micronutrient supplementation, along with awareness sessions on balanced diets and infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices. SRP also facilitates access to quality maternal and child healthcare services, including antenatal and postnatal care, immunization, and health referrals, to reduce preventable illnesses and mortality rates.
4. Environment and Climate Change; SRP is committed to promoting environmental conservation and climate resilience in vulnerable communities. The organization implements initiatives focused on afforestation, sustainable natural resource management, and awareness on eco-friendly practices. SRP works to build community capacity for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, advocating for policies and actions that protect biodiversity, reduce carbon footprints, and mitigate the impacts of environmental degradation.
5. General Protection and Skill Development; SRP promotes the safety, dignity, and rights of vulnerable individuals, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups. The organization works to prevent and respond to protection risks through community awareness, advocacy, and referral mechanisms. SRP also supports skill development initiatives to enhance livelihoods and self-reliance, offering vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and capacity-building programs tailored to community needs.
6. WASH and Emergency Response; SRP works to ensure access to safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene promotion for disaster-affected and vulnerable communities. In emergency contexts, SRP provides rapid WASH interventions such as safe drinking water supply, sanitation facilities, hygiene kits, and awareness campaigns to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases. The organization integrates WASH services within broader emergency response efforts to reduce public health risks and support community resilience.
7. Shelter and Non Food Items Distribution; SRP provides emergency and transitional shelter solutions for vulnerable communities affected by disasters, displacement, or conflict. The organization ensures timely distribution of non-food items (NFIs) such as blankets, cooking sets, clothing, and hygiene kits to meet immediate needs, restore dignity, and protect affected households. The focus is on equitable distribution, quality materials, and coordination with government authorities and humanitarian partners to ensure efficiency and transparency.
